Description

Developed by Chief Engineer Vuillerme in 1922 and mass-produced in 1923, 3280 units were built until 1934. The Super Canister is a version specially developed to beat endurance records equipped with an engine Hispano-Suiza 12Nb of 650hp. With this plane, Costes and Bellonte will succeed on September 2, 1930, the first Paris-Le Bourget / New York non-stop in 37 hours and 18 minutes. Costes had already made, from October 1927 until April 1928, from Paris, a world tour of a distance of 56 km with the navigator Joseph le Brix on a Bréguet “Point d'Interrogation”.
