Description
Fully metallic fighter plane, it made its first flight on October 2, 1938. Equipped with a Hispano-Suiza 12Y45 engine of 935 horsepower which gave it a maximum speed of 534 km / h and armed with 4 7.5mm machine guns in the wings and with a 20mm cannon, the aircraft rivaled the German Messerschmitt fighters. Built too carefully and often with malicious intent for the latter to play a decisive role in this start of the war. It equipped only 4 fighter groups during the Armistice of June 1940. The aircraft is in the colors of group II / 18 Saintonge de Doret 44/45. 750 copies were produced, despite orders exceeding 2250 copies.
