The North American T6 was the training aircraft for all American student pilots. After the Second World War, the French pilots left for the USA on bases like Pensacola in Florida. They were then trained on the T6, like the young pilot in this painting who is flying over the Barin base for his first solo flight. Benjamin Freudenthal.
